Sno-Girl 2010

Trefoil Ranch Provo, UT.

What a beautiful place to enjoy a weekend away with your daughters. It was just overnight but the girls thoroughly enjoyed it. The activities started with a Timpanogos storyteller giving us her rendition of Piggy Pie, Hip chicks, & Edward the Emu. The girls were in heaven, someone who told stories with as much animation as their father. What a way to get them prepared for the evening ahead. Then came what is know in Girl Scout circles as SWAP's. Each girl and adult has a bag of miniature items they have made to remind them and the person they are swapping with of this event. They range from mini campfires to little bags of beads each representing a part of them. This was our first time so we were not very well prepared however there were crates of craft items to make your own and the girls dug in and came up with some very clever SWAP's. The following day consisted of outdoor play, manicures, service projects, and making bird feeders. We didn't think we would have enough time to fit everything in but we did it and are very excited about our next visit to Trefoil Ranch. Girl Scouts have been good for the girls getting them to breakaway from that shyness and build some great self esteem as well as friends along the way!
