What I have been doing lately :)

I recently joined a embroidery group on Yahoo called StitchMAP and immediately was sucked into all the wonderful things going on there. This was the September embroidery challenge, a Victorian Pincushion. I was a great new exprience for me because I usually stitch from patterns, this one was kind of blind. It came to us in 3 lessons and we had to complete our first lesson before moving on to the next and we didn't know what we were making until lesson #3. First choosing fabric and ribbon, then the flower motif, and then we received the pattern. About 30 signed up and the results are turning out wonderful. If your interested in embroidery you should check StitchMAP out in Yahoo Groups.

Boo!

Ok so I have finally finished my Halloween wall hanging. Whoo hoo! It has taken just under a year (kinda got bored after the words were finished) but anyway hope you enjoy it as much as I. The web and the pumpkins are stitched with Krenik glow-in the dark threads and they do show up at night its pretty awesome. The heading is stitched with metallic green/black and the pumpkins are outlined with metallic coral. The words are my favorite and not because of the thread(regular DMC in 24" lengths ) but because it really sums up the season. Hope you like it.
